• The bottleneck in performance is in the hard drives
• A ssd hard drive is at least 15 faster than a solid state drive
• More memory and faster hard drive will solve many computer problems
• A windows installation will degrade over time and become slow unreliable 
• Paid antivirus always finds viruses and malware that windows built in antivirus does not
• If windows does not have a paid version of antivirus for even 3 months I do not trust that install to be reliable or safe.
• Microsoft’s version of OS backup and restore is a setup and a money maker for Microsoft.
• An image backup with  Macrium free is the best thing you can attempt to do for your computer
• A Clean install of windows will always perform at least much faster than a older install.   
• Microsoft offers a file scan and fix called sfc /scannow but often it can not repair all the files
• When my computer systems start showing performance problems I revert back to a known good clean install with Macrium
• A clone of your windows C drive on a second drive that you can plug in a boot is a must have when uptime will guarantee your uptime if a restore Fales.
• Having a 2nd hard drive with windows cloned to it, will take stress out of updates and maintenance and uptime can be guaranteed.
